Here’s a LINK to the past and the present. In Courtenay B.C. I’m told there’s an exhibition underway featuring some of my photographs, as well as art and text from friends and former comrades in the trenches of what must be Canada’s most cult field of work, Treeplanting. I planted for 18 years in what feels like another life – I certainly can’t say that I enjoyed every second of it but I met many life-long friends on the clear-cut and was graced with the time and space to push boundaries around the world. There’s no doubt that those years were instrumental in making me the person I am today and for that I’m eternally grateful. Thanks to the thousands of planters out there who shared a run or a piece or a clump of slash with me.   Brothers and sisters forever.
