Jono Lineen

A friend in Canada, artist Tracy Kobus recently sent me this shot of a painting of hers. The interesting point for me is the fishing floats in the middle ground to the right of the work. Tracy was fascinated by Kevin O’Brien’s work at GOMA and it’s relationship to the images I took while up in the Torres Strait last month (see earlier post). It seems theres something universal about the form of the fishing float – Northern Hemisphere + Southern Hemisphere.
